Shea Fitzgerald
Meet the Owner
I’m Shea, the owner and founder of SoCal Therapy Network. With a background in child development, psychology, and speech-language pathology, I’ve spent more than 25 years helping children grow, communicate, and connect. Over the years, I’ve worked with families across a wide range of settings, from homes and schools to clinics and community programs. I’ve seen firsthand how the most meaningful progress happens when therapy focuses on what’s functional, important to the family, and centered around each child’s unique strengths and daily routines.
My experiences as both a professional and a parent have shaped everything about how I built SoCal Therapy Network. I understand how full life can feel between school, work, and family routines, and how challenging it can be to fit therapy into an already busy week. That’s why I wanted to create a service that not only connects families with expert therapists, but also honors the rhythm of everyday life. Our therapists come to you - where your child feels comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.
I started SCTN with the belief that connection is at the heart of growth. Whether it’s celebrating a child’s first words, introducing AAC to help them share their ideas, or improving speech so they can be understood with confidence, I’m continually inspired by the relationships we build along the way.
My work and travels to more than 50 countries has given me the privilege of seeing how children communicate and connect in so many different ways. From teaching students in India to volunteering with children in a Russian orphanage, I’ve learned that growth looks different for every child, but the need to be seen, heard, and supported is universal.
Our Network
At SoCal Therapy Network, we match families with compassionate, master’s-level speech-language pathologists who bring not only clinical expertise, but genuine care and creativity to their work.
We take time to thoughtfully match each family with a therapist whose skills, experience, and personality align with their child’s goals and learning style. Therapy takes place in natural environments, because research shows children make the most progress where they feel confident and connected.
Our therapists specialize in:
Speech sound disorders and Childhood Apraxia of Speech
Language development and literacy (reading and writing)
Autism and Gestalt Language Processing
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
Fluency and social communication
Parent and caregiver coaching
Together, we make high-quality therapy accessible and flexible—grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and family-centered care that supports each child as a whole person and fosters genuine growth and connection.
At the heart of it all is connection. Connection between therapist and child, between families and their providers, and between every small step that leads to lasting progress.
