Skills & Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current California license (SLP or OT) in good standing
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required for Speech-Language Pathologists
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with pediatric clients
Valid California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Strong ability to build positive, professional relationships with clients and families
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy services within clients’ homes and community settings.
Deliver indirect services, including treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with team members.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify each client’s strengths and areas of need, and make individualized recommendations.
Write clear, professional progress reports every six months or as required.
Offer caregiver education and involve families in goal setting, strategies and home programming to promote meaningful progress.
Maintain confidentiality and data integrity in compliance with HIPAA and professional standards.
Communicate effectively and professionally - both verbally and in writing - with families and other professionals.
Make recommendations and referrals to other specialists or providers as appropriate.
