Speech-Language Pathologist

Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Current California license (SLP or OT) in good standing

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required for Speech-Language Pathologists

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with pediatric clients

  • Valid California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance

  • Strong ability to build positive, professional relationships with clients and families

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy services within clients’ homes and community settings.

  • Deliver indirect services, including treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with team members.

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify each client’s strengths and areas of need, and make individualized recommendations.

  • Write clear, professional progress reports every six months or as required.

  • Offer caregiver education and involve families in goal setting, strategies and home programming to promote meaningful progress.

  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity in compliance with HIPAA and professional standards.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally - both verbally and in writing - with families and other professionals.

  • Make recommendations and referrals to other specialists or providers as appropriate.
