1. Acceptance of Terms

The Site provides general information regarding SCTN’s therapy services, including speech, language, and occupational therapy.

4. Therapist–Client Relationship

Submission of a contact form, email communication, or phone inquiry does not establish a therapist–client relationship.
A formal professional relationship with SCTN begins only after completion of all intake forms, consents, and agreements within our HIPAA-compliant platform (SimplePractice) and confirmation of acceptance of services by SCTN.

5. HIPAA Compliance and Protected Health Information (PHI)

SCTN complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and all related privacy and security rules.

  • Any Protected Health Information (PHI) shared through therapy services is collected, stored, and transmitted exclusively through HIPAA-compliant systems (SimplePractice and secure Google Workspace accounts).

  • The public Site is not designed for transmission of PHI. Do not include private health details, diagnostic information, or therapy records in general website forms or emails.

  • Any PHI received inadvertently through the Site will be deleted or transferred to a secure system as required by law.

6. Privacy and Data Collection

Your use of this Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
By using this Site, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.

  • Google Workspace for Healthcare (for encrypted, limited internal use).

PHI is never collected or stored directly on this public website.

  • Match clients with therapists based on needs, expertise, and location.
